Through the Veil
There is a veil between us and the Divine, but it is one of our own making. What separates us from God is little more than our perspective or point of view.
It is easy for us to distract ourselves from the basic goodness and blessing of the cosmos and life as we get caught up in the events of our lives. We evolved to pay attention to threats to our survival or means to help us to live better.
We are drawn to the new, the exciting, the annoying, the dangerous, and this distracts us from the basic nature of our existence. While it is important for us to notice these things for our own survival and life, we must take the time to remember who we are and where we came from.
When we quiet our mind and still the waters of our soul, our thoughts clear and we are able to perceive the basic peace, goodness, and compassion that exist at the ground of our being, which is God.
Be still, whether in silent meditation or the flow that comes from any creative act. Then you will open yourself to the deep wisdom of the cosmos, and the infinite power found there.
